Beau temps mais un peu de vent du nord le matin. Nous essayons d’aller au
bout de la presqu’ile en vélo, mais assez vite la route devient un mauvais
chemin de terre. Nous rencontrons une jeune femme qui descend en moto, sans
moteur pour économiser l’essence. Elle s’arrête et nous pose plein de questions
… en utilisant la traduction orale de Google. D’où venons-nous ? Où
habitons-nous ? Combien de temps allons-nous rester ici ? Elle dit
les questions en grec et nous les entendons en anglais. Elle parle un peu
italien et nous fait comprendre qu’un peu plus loin il y a des chiens, mais que
si nous restons calmes, ils ne nous ferons rien. Je n’aime pas beaucoup cela.
Elle repart, nous montons encore un peu et décidons de redescendre. Nous avons
un beau point de vue sur la baie et le port. En rentrant, nous allons à la
plage. Elle est longue, mais à certains endroits il y a des rochers, mais tout
au bout, c’est très bien. Nous nous baignons, il faut aller loin pour avoir
assez d’eau pour nager. Nous nous rinçons à une douche sur la plage. En
rentrant, nous passons chercher un pain que nous avions commandé à la boutique.
A l’entrée, un vieil homme mange une grande feuille verte, comme une feuille d’agave.
Je le regarde et il dit un mot qui ressemble à « aloe ». J’avais vu
ces feuilles à vendre au marché de Chania en Crète. Lunch, stillestund, début
du blog puis repartons en vélo pour le bout de la plage, mais par la route, il
faut faire un grand détour. Pour la première fois, nous nous baignons deux fois
dans la journée. Nous voyons un couple qui marche avec un chien gris. Nous
rentons au bateau et peu après, ce couple passe sur le quai. Nous commençons à
parler et les invitons à boire un verre. Werner et Brigitta sont autrichiens et
voyagent en camping-car, mais avant ils ont beaucoup navigué en catamaran. Nous
discutons bien et sympathisons. Ils repartent et avant d’aller diner nous passons
voir leur camping-car aménagé maison, c’est très bien fait et confortable. Nous
allons diner à un restaurant sur la plage, bon et pas cher. Nous rentrons à 22
h et je publie le blog sans photos, je les mettrai demain.

Good weather but a bit of northerly wind in the
morning. We try to go to the end of the peninsula by bike, but soon enough the
road becomes a bad dirt road. We meet a young woman who descends on a
motorbike, without an engine to save gas. She stops and asks us lots of
questions...using Google's spoken translation. Where do we come from? Where do
we live? How long are we going to stay here? She says the questions in Greek
and we hear them in English. She speaks a little Italian and makes us
understand that a little further there are dogs, but that if we stay calm, they
won't do anything to us. I don't like that very much. She leaves, we go up a
little more and decide to go down. We have a beautiful view of the bay and the
port. When we get back, we go to the beach. It is a long beach, but in some
places there are rocks, but at the very end it is verynice. We bathe, we have
to go far to get enough water to swim. We rinse off in a shower on the beach.
On the way home, we pick up the bread that we had ordered at the shop. At the
entrance, an old man eats a large green leaf, like an agave leaf. I look at him
and he says a word that sounds like "aloe". I had seen these leaves
for sale at the Chania market in Crete. Lunch, stillestund, beginning of the
blog then we leave by bike for the end of the beach, but by the road, it is
necessary to make a big detour. For the first time, we bathe twice a day. We
see a couple walking with a gray dog. We go back to the boat and shortly after,
this couple passes on the quay. We start talking and invite them for a drink.
Werner and Brigitta are Austrians and travel by camper, but before they sailed
a lot in catamaran. We talk well and sympathize. They leave and before going to
dinner we go to see their camper, which is “home-made” inside. It is very well
done and comfortable. We are dine at a restaurant on the beach, good and not
expensive. We return at 10 p.m. and I publish the blog without photos, I’ll put
them tomorrow.
