23.05.2023. Kalamos.
Tuesday, May 23, 2023
At least, it's sunny and warm. Many boats leave and
two or three get tangled with their anchor chains, it is the distraction of the morning
in a Greek port. Jens is still working with the anemometer but it is not easy.
Me, I relax and do a sudoku. We are going to swim at the beach of the mill,
closer but less pleasant, there are small pebbles and it hurts our feet. After
swimming, I walk along the beach, in sandals. I take a small path between two
houses. Behind a house I see a beautiful garden full of flowers. A lady comes
out and I tell her she has a beautiful garden. I don't think she speaks
English, but she understands the meaning of what I said. She picks two
carnations and gives them to me. She shows me that I have to smell them, and
it's true, they smell good. How nice. Lunch at George, the unofficial harbor
master of Kalamos who has a restaurant on the harbour. He is the one who
organizes the placement of the boats and he is efficient. Rest, nap for Jens
and blog for me and our turn number 2 is to the other beach, further away but
more beautiful. We are enjoying our last days, tomorrow we are going back to
Preveza. Dinner on the boat and coffee at “Remezzo”, the café where Chrisa (only one s) works. We talk a bit with her and
say bye, bye to her.
