08.05.2023. Plitra-Yíthion.

Hier soir, je ne pouvais pas m’endormir en pensant au départ aujourd’hui : comment allons-nous sortir de notre petite place entre deux bateaux de pêche ? Mais en fait cela se passe bien, pas de vent et Hera II pivote exactement comme il faut. Nous partons à 9 h 30 et allons vers le nord pour aller voir une autre baie, Elaia avec un port encore plus petit que Plitra. Le quai est court et plein donc nous ancrons devant la plage. Nous allons à terre avec le zodiac et marchons un peu. C’est le même genre de village que Plitra mais la plage est moins jolie. Retour au bateau, baignade et lunch. Il y a si peu de vent que nous voyons l’ancre à côté du bateau. Nous repartons à 15 h 30 et allons droit ouest vers la ville de Yíthion, nous faisons tout à la voile, pas vite mais on a le temps. Nous entrons dans le port pour trouver une place et un bonhomme nous fait de grands signes. Apparemment le port est plein et il nous montre un quai pour les navires. Nous y allons et il attrape nos cordes. C’est une bonne place, bien protégée mais les points d’amarrage sont au moins à 50 m l’un de l’autre. Nous sortons nos plus longues amarres et comme cela, ça va. Le bonhomme nous fait comprendre ensuite, qu’une petite pièce serait la bienvenue … et nous qui croyions qu’il était le chef de port. Un peu après un autre voilier arrive et même scénario, ils se mettent juste derrière nous. Le couple est suisse mais leur bateau est enregistré en Pologne, comme cela le bateau est dans l’Union Européenne. Allons diner en ville, je prends une soupe de poissons très bonne et Jens une friture de petits poissons, avec une salade cela fait un bon diner.

Last night, I couldn't fall asleep thinking about the start today: how are we going to get out of our little place between two fishing boats? But in fact it is going well, no wind and Hera II pivots exactly as she should. We leave at 9:30 a.m. and go north to see another bay, Elaia with an even smaller port than Plitra. The quay is short and full so we anchor in front of the beach. We go ashore with the zodiac and walk a bit. It is the same kind of village as Plitra but the beach is less pretty. Return to the boat, swimming and lunch. There is so little wind that we see the anchor next to the boat. We leave at 3:30 p.m. and go straight west towards the town of Yíthion, we sail all along, not fast but we have time. We enter the port to find a berth and a man waves at us. Apparently the port is full and he shows us a quay for ships. We go there and he grabs our ropes. It is a good place, well protected but the mooring points are at least 50 m from each other. We take out our longest lines and like that, it's fine. The guy then makes us understand that a little money would be welcome... and we who thought he was the port master. A little later another sailboat arrives and same scenario, they get right behind us. The couple is Swiss but their boat is registered in Poland, so the boat is in the European Union. We go to dinner in town, I have a very good fish soup and Jens fried small fish, with a salad that makes a good dinner.
